Qamoos Al-Farid in the eyes of Hazrat Maulana Noor Alam Khaleel Ameeni Sahib (Chief Editor of Al-Da'ee Magazine & Teacher of Arabic Literature at Sarul Ullom Deoband) In the Indian sub-continent the elder son of the great teacher of history, Hazrat Moulana Waheeduzzaman Qasmi Keranwi's son, Moulana Badruzzaman Qasmi Keranwi compiled an Arabic-Urdu-English Dictionary. The author not only inherited many intellectual, moral and human qualities of his great father; In fact, they are his intellectual successors. Apart from Darul Uloom Deoband, he also benefited from modern universities and not only mastered Arabic & Urdu, but also mastered the English language and literature and proved his mettle through his writings in both the languages. A few years ago, books written by him such as modern Arabic, Arabic and English, Calligraphy and selected historical events and articles have also been published for Arabic language students. Now he has a dictionary in Arabic, Urdu and English called "Qamoos Al-Farid", which is in front of you. He has produced this great work in 15 years. The period of four or five years has been spent only on its revision and last touches. Scholars know that it is not only difficult to translate a word but also to substitute it. Proficiency in all three languages, such as Arabic, Urdu and English, is essential if a trilingual dictionary is used to offer conversions. In his dictionary, he has used most of the Arabic, Urdu and English words which are widely used. One of its features is that with all of the Arabic words, he has first attempted to describe them using other Arabic words. and thereafter in Urdu and English. This is such a quality of this dictionary, which is not found in any other dictionary. It is very important to know more than one synonym and substitute for the a word especially for a teacher, student, speaker, etc. Otherwise, he cannot fully fulfill the requirements of his work. He has kept the literary requirements in mind while listing the meanings and synonyms of the words, because the words and synonyms which he has given do not only portray the correct meanings but also contain literary and linguistic qualities needed. The author has taken a very close look at the Urdu and English meanings and synonyms of the Arabic word. I (Hazrat Moulana Noor Alam Sahib) has done a lot of Arabic to Urdu and Urdu to Arabic translation and and life has passed and is passing in it. Through this dictionary, the author has offered an open solution to such problems for people around the world. Being a living and communicative language of the world, a large number of madrassa students are now inclined to learn and use English, as is the case with modern educational institutions, for them all this is a blessing in disguise.
